What We Are Doing to Prepare to Re-Open?

By Dr. Lila P Wilson:

As the COVID-19 pandemic has unfolded and impacted all of our lives, we have been faced with questions about how to lead our daily lives through the stay-at-home orders.

In recent weeks, the focus for many of us has shifted to asking how to get back to our routines and find a “new normal”, understanding that this pandemic has changed the way many of us will conduct our daily lives.

We’ve all felt how uncomfortable and frustrating the uncertainty and restrictions can be. I want to make sure that your experience in our practice is not met with any anxiety and fear and is not an area of the “new normal” that causes you angst.

My goal is to be as transparent as possible by answering your questions related to infection control and COVID-19, with the ultimate hope that you’ll feel more confident in visiting our practice when we are able to re-open.

We have been and will continue to, communicate with our patients through a variety of communication methods. Such methods include our social media pages Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, our patient newsletter, and this website.

We have added specific infection control information to this website, which we encourage you to read to ensure you of the measures we have implemented. Click Here. We will open for elective treatment and recalls from June 1st, 2020. Please call us and we can assess your oral health concern.

We are following the recommendation of (list authorities here such as CDA, ADA, CDC, Dental Board of CA) to guide the date in which we re-open.

The closure of our office not only will help limit exposure to and transmission of the virus for patients and staff, but it also helps preserve and extend the supply of personal protective equipment that is badly needed in hospitals.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your continued support, your compassion, and your understanding of the changes that have and will occur in our office due to these troubling times. Call Lila Wilson, DDS for more information.

I want to thank Doctor Wilson and her staff for making my daughter feel so comfortable while she is getting her teeth done. My daughter was nervous about seeing a dentist but feels good at seeing Doctor Wilson. She is great with kids. Thank you, Doctor Wilson.

Covid-19 Vaccine

My point of view about vaccine:

It has been a great relief. I couldn't count the days until I got the vaccine fast enough.
I’ m so happy I got it. I prefer the mild symptoms after the vaccine to being exposed to the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus. The vaccines have the same technology both have an mRNA that is a genetic content that goes into the body and gives instructions to the cells and the cells produce the protein of the coronavirus and our body produces antibodies. the vaccines have the same effectiveness, there are two doses. Had side effects like chills, tiredness, fever. the difference would be in storage. The most important thing for me is that the vaccine is available and protect myself from any hospitalization. Go discuss it with your physician and make the correct decision.

Stay the course

How our practice plans to “stay the course” through COVID-19

We realize it is an unsettling time. We want you to know your safety and health, as well as the safety and health of our dental team, is our number one priority.

On December 3, 2020, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced that California would impose regional stay-at-home orders based on hospital capacity in response to the rapidly rising test positivity rate and hospitalizations due to COVID-19.

The restrictions announced by Newsom do not include the provision of dental care and other essential health care services. We are thankful to be able to continue providing care to our patients.

Our practice adheres to the strictest infection control guidelines, as outlined by the California Department of Public Health and The Division of Occupational Safety and Health.

Further, we have implemented the following precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

- Screen patients 24 hours before their scheduled appointments to ensure COVID-19 symptoms are not present.

- Conduct a patient screening outside of our office before allowing any patient to enter the practice.

- Wear necessary PPE, including respirators when necessary for procedures in which aerosols are generated.

- Clean and disinfect all surfaces in between patients.

- Replace all barrier protections in between patients.

- Maintain social distancing and at least six feet between patients.

- Conduct daily COVID-19 screenings for staff and providers in the practice.

- Provide ‘contactless communication’ options for patients at check-in, check-out and through our website patient portal.

We plan to “stay the course” through COVID-19 to help protect you and your loved ones. If you have any questions about the measures we have taken during this unprecedented time, please contact us at (530) 605-3350
